Volkhardt has a Staatsexamen in Fine Arts from Stuttgart Academy of Art (Sculpture) with a specialism in intermedial design. Recent work includes: exhibitions for Exeter Artspaces and Transitions at the Bargehouse, London, lead artist for Aune Head Arts Tri-Parks project in residence on Dartmoor, Incubator Space residency at Exeter Phoenix 08-09, collaborating Fine Artist – Hothouse (revisioning project for the Brewhouse Theatre, Taunton), The Big Jurassic Chalenge, documentary film commissioned by East Devon District Council, Sculptor and Project Manager Flurstuck 1408 - ein Kunstgarten, site as sculpture transformation of a former vineyard into a sculpture park, 2000-present. Volkhardt is currently making an ongoing series of video actions and activism that change our perception of public space called Videotopia.
